  3. The new door is placed into the opening, where we’ll check for level and plumb on all sides.
  4. Shims are inserted between the frame and the studs to align the door properly and maintain even spacing.
  5. Once aligned, the frame is secured with screws through the shims.
  6. We’ll test the door to confirm it swings and latches correctly.
  7. After confirming proper function, the shims are trimmed, and the casing or trim is nailed into place.
  8. Finally, caulking and paint or stain finishes the installation.
